Welcome to Kausa, a Peruvian restaurant located in the heart of New York City. Known for its unique blend of traditional Peruvian flavors, Kausa offers a diverse menu ranging from ceviche to main courses like Lomo Saltado and Tacu Tacu.

Customers rave about the delicious seafood soup and lomo, highlighting the restaurant's ability to offer dishes not commonly found in other Peruvian establishments. The ceviche de corvina and beef hearts are also highly recommended by patrons like Jessica S., who found the experience at Kausa to be nothing short of amazing.

For those looking for a family-friendly dining experience, Katrina R. suggests Kausa as a great spot to satisfy diverse palates. She enjoyed the grilled chicken plate while her husband indulged in ceviche and beef hearts, with even her picky teenager finding something to love on the menu.

Furthermore, Kausa has been praised for its ceviche offerings, with Jay G. declaring it as the best in NYC. Pairing the ceviche de corvina with tostones and sangria promises a delightful culinary experience that is well worth a visit.

One customer, Amy H., particularly enjoyed the chicha morada, chaufa combo, and ceviche de camarones. While the chicha morada was a hit, the chaufa combo featuring rotisserie chicken was a standout dish that she would order again. However, the ceviche de camarones left much to be desired, lacking flavor and freshness.

When it comes to takeout, Cee E. found the half chicken deal to be a steal with a huge portion size and flavorful tostones. The rotisserie chicken, accompanied by two tasty sauces, was a highlight of her meal, showcasing Kausa's expertise in this traditional Peruvian dish.

With a wide array of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, Kausa caters to all tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for classic Peruvian cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, Kausa is the perfect destination for a memorable dining experience that will leave your taste buds craving more.

Food in the theater district is hard - usually it isn't so great! But this one actually served decent Peruvian food! Food: we ordered a few of the the mister kausa, kausa limena, plata del mar, and the Tallarin Salteado Chicken! I would recommend all of the dishes! They were really flavorful and enjoyable! Ambience: nice spot with a good location to Broadway Service: good attentive service Price: reasonable for quality and quantity

I ordered the Tacu Tacu here. It was definitely good food. I was just already too full and over ordered. I can sorta tell it was delicious but you know that feeling when you feel like you're about to burst, you get a lot of gas, and you don't feel like eating: but the taste buds are tingling? Yeah that's what was going on. But the key phrase there is the taste buds tingling. Cause they did. On a side note the service was good and the bathroom was easy to find.

So, so good! Fun atmosphere too. I looked for a place near the The New World Stages that would be interesting for my husband and I, yet also have something for my picky teenager. I had the grilled chicken plate and my husband a ceviche and the beef hearts. My kid ended up helping me with the chicken, it was so good. Totally recommend this place before a play, or really anytime.

My friend and I tried the chicha morada, chaufa combo, and ceviche de camarones. We loved the chicha morada! Super tasty and it was my friend's first time trying this drink. She loved it! The Chaufa combo (rotisserie chicken) was delicious as well. The chicken wasn't dry, super flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fried rice that came with it was really good as well and very flavorful. We loved the fried rice. Salad was also good. Good portion to split with someone if you are not that hungry! The ceviche de camarones (cooked shrimp) was the only thing we didn't enjoy on our visit. It was definitely a let down and underwhelming. The shrimp were small and not cut up like shrimp ceviche usually is served.. it also lacked any flavor in it. The juice just didn't taste good or fresh. I would not recommend this dish. Service was quick and friendly. The server was on top of checking back and filling our waters but never came to ask if everything tasted ok or not. Overall good. I would order the chaufa combo again but probably get it to-go instead of dining in. There are better Peruvian restaurants in the area. Most likely won't be back anytime soon.

I've heard a lot about Kausa but today was my first time trying them out. I ordered a meal for takeout. They have several lunch specials which I considered but I ultimately went with the half chicken deal (a steal at $9- they give you a huge chunk!) and a side of rice and tostones. This came out to just under $25. I was a bit surprised that the price of the rice side was $6, but when I saw the portion size, it seemed a lot more reasonable. It's a whole container full. Likewise for the tostones. The tostones were really good too- crispy and not too greasy. The chicken came with two sauces (which I haven't tried yet)- a green one (cilantro based I believe) and an orange garlic-based one. The rotisserie chickwn was so juicy and well seasoned. It's one of my favorite things to order from Peruvian restaurants. Next time I need to try the Kausa (causa) (the namesake of the restaurant). It didn't really catch my eye but if it's as good as what I ordered, I'd be open to trying it!
